The Key Building Blocks for Success

1.007

Success for all across the board can seem like the roll of a dice in Las Vegas to many people.  So, what exactly are the success factors in life?  Well, take a closer look at the image Dr. Naoisé O’Reilly made today and start to see some of the elements that can matter a lot in the grand scheme of things.

There are distinct keys and elements that Dr. Naoisé and I focus on.  Believe it or not, psychological success blocks are very real and we deal with them every day with people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.  The universal themes amongst the human race are startling and failure patterns have been repeated since the beginning of time.

Just like the roll of a dice in a casino there are exact scientific patterns and equations to each of the sides of every dice.  Plus, the specific psychology that coincides with each individual dice just the same as each unique and individual person.  The full range of dynamics are contained within our “Periodic Table of the Development of Results®” better known as “Purple Success®” for short.

Precise success definitions are difficult for people to outline as everybody has their own view, outlook and characterization of achievement.  For some of the people we worked with it was to get an A in a State Examination for the very first time.  Or to make over one point three five million dollars in a small family run business within seventeen days.  Or for others, it was to win Gold Medals at the World Championships.

The truth is that success is no accident.  In fact, your chances of success can be enhanced quickly and easily through Purple Success® because this Method brings it all together.

We have become even more protective of the Methods we have developed in our custom built multi-award winning facilities since attracting the attention of many of the biggest companies in the World with hundreds of thousands of employees.  They simply do not have what we have.

Why Hollywood’s Celebrity Babies Have Car Crash Written All Over Them

Hollywood.009Why Hollywood’s Celebrity Babies Have Car Crash Written All Over Them

How Hollywood’s Celebrity Children Can Avoid Train Wreck Lives.

“All of the money, fame and recognition in the World cannot buy you parenting skills.  The hardcore life threatening habits of serious celebrity child addicts form around 23.  That is 23 years of Hollywood parents being oblivious to the real needs of their children,” according to Dr. Naoisé O’Reilly, an International Psychological Profiler and Expression Expert.

Dr. O’Reilly believes the pressure associated with having famous parents sets children up for failure from birth plus having to endure the additional burden, heartache and increased likelihood of losing all of the family’s generational wealth within a very short space of time.

She says, “if your parents are famous, connected and super wealthy everything should be possible.  The world is your oyster.  You even have access to the best education and the people to kickstart your career.  Yet, so few of the kids of Hollywood stars reach their full potential.  Instead, it is like they just fall off of the train tracks.  There are pivotal ages where the correct type of intervention can really turnaround lives fast.”

Dr. O’Reilly feels that there is real hope.  “These children of celebrities could discover how to fire their shrink forever, live a life of greatness and emerge from the shadows of their high profile parents.  How can we save Hollywood from itself?  The psychological methods we use help people to destroy failure patterns with positive generational consequences.  We have achieved results within four to eight hours where traditional therapists had tried for years without success.”

She concluded that, “celebrities have the means to help their kids do anything and having busy schedules is no excuse for failing to create proper support mechanisms in the home, even if it is a mansion.  The bottom line is that problems can be fixed when you can help someone become and feel more successful.  We do not firefight.  We solve major life problems before they even start.”

Why Talking Doesn’t Change the World – What I Have Learned in 6 Years, Dr. Naoise O’Reilly

Content-EvolutionWhy is it so hard to change the perceptions of dyslexia and other conditions in education?

It would be so easy if all you had to do was talk about your story or be academically brilliant to change not only how others achieve but perceptions of what they can achieve.

I have always wondered why ideas of what dyslexics can do have not changed with all the successful famous people from Jamie Oliver to Albert Einstein. If all these people had done so much before me, why was I told at 17 I could not do any of it and that going to college was and I quote, "above my status".

If only what you had done could change the perceptions of how others approach the next generation.

One of the biggest frustrations for me was it never mattered what I had done before - I was always judged at the next stage of education. So even though I got over 500 points in my leaving cert and was in the 25% of the country the year I sat it when I got to college, lecturers refused to help me with notes because "I shouldn't be there and sure what was I going to do in the future anyway" and when I got a 1st for my degree and went on to my PhD I was given a lecture on the pyramids of education in my viva as to why I didn't deserve to be there at this level. It never mattered at any level what I had done before or what others had done before me. There was still a concrete idea that I couldn't be academically successful.

But almost 6 years on since I started my own education projects to develop methods to change education I now understand why I didn't want to be a motivational speaker. Why my approach has all been about action.

In order to really change the patterns of generations and the educational blueprint that has built up over decades you have to create an experience for people. They have to feel and know the difference.

In order to be truly successful people have to experience what it is like to learn differently - they have to understand how they absorb information, how they process it and how they can be truly successful.

Yes, the methods seem very simple to me and are easily applied to all as they are universal but the crux is that they have to be applied to real people. Then for every person I help to see differently and every family that is successful or every business they will approach the next set of people in a new light. I was told recently that "you have made me look differently at my employees and I can see how they learn now" and this was from working with someone's child. But by understanding their own child in a different way now from experience they see their own employees differently. I have always thought that business had the ability to drive education and that is why I work across both sectors now.

When I set out almost 6 years ago I had three objectives:

1: Literacy and intellegnce not in the same sentence.

2: Make school more enjoyable for everyone.

3: Make companies understand how everyone works differently and stop focusing on the difference.

I guess I have added a 4th one - to make everyone successful.

Almost 6 years on I have a set of methods to apply universally to the whole world to do just this - but it'll never be about me just talking about them. It's all about making as many people as possible experience something new that will gradually change the world over time. You can never go back once you have looked at people in a new light. You can never expect a dyslexic to be defined by their reading age once you have seen them get 9 out of 10 in the spelling test or 44 out 45 in the maths test. You now expect them to achieve academically and in life.

I have never been one for talking about what I'm going to do - I always just did it and now I understand why that action changes the blueprint for the future.

I'm an expression developist now because I express myself often but I give this ability to others too.

Ageism and establishing your role in life before it hits – especially important for women

I have started to see a serious pattern that only self made established people have a place in society in old age. It helps to be your own boss in old age. Employers leave you feeling discarded when they let you go for retirement, particularly for women when this often coincides with the family having grown and left.

This recession has been harsh because it has let people go from jobs at a point in life where they feel there is no return. Larger companies are becoming increasingly underhand in how they force older employees out of the work place. Even our self employed female clients struggle to be confident at a certain age. But if you have not well established yourself in your 40's there seems little hope for you in your 50's, 60', 70's and beyond.

eileen grayIt seems a rarity to find people such as Eileen Gray working up until her 90's or Agatha Christie who wrote her last novel at 83. She in fact wrote the last books for her Poirot and Miss Marple characters 36 years earlier allowing them to age too!agatha christie

When we start to look around for "older" female role models we struggle a bit. One woman told me recently that "the world fails to see you after 50 in the workplace".

So it is becoming increasingly obvious that employees need to start building an exit strategy. The only contented older people I know all are self employed or "self made". The feel like they still have a reason to get up in the morning.

water for elephants100 year old manTwo books in recent years which have been made into films have highlighted the dejected feelings of a nursing home, Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen and the Swedish based book The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. Both of these are a great insight into older men in the retirement home hell. The hundred year old man really challenges our perceptions of what older people can get up to and how much trouble they can get themselves into!

dame judi denchWe really need Dame Judi Dench and Maggie Smith at 79 to fill our screens and show it's ok to age. You can still do what you love. But if you are relying on others to show you your place in the world you will be waiting. You need to establish yourself before you get old and set yourself up to be taken seriously, regardless of age.

maggie-smith_2389599b

I always enjoy working with older clients because they have so much experience to bring - we just inject the fresh start mentally. It's like working with the full circle of development.

What the film Boyhood tells us about the need for family mediation

boyhoodIt struck me watching the film Boyhood at the weekend that teenage boys are always telling me that everyone is on their case. When Mason in the film reaches 15 he asks his stepdad "can someone just give me a break for one day?" The irony is that a poor role model adult on his case is not lost on us. It's not what we say to teenagers that matters it's what we do. The role we show them.

It was incredible that someone took the time to spend 12 years filming a boy as he grew up from carefree child of 6 to young adult male at 18 off to college. Thank you Richard Linklater!

I'm not convinced that the endless drone of "responsibility" turns out better adults. I have so many different roles in my work but listening to teenagers woes is definitely top of the list and acting as translator back to schools, parents and other professionals. I've forgotten how many times parents have called me up "because they are sick of the rows over school work and homework"

I have long been an advocate for the abolishment of homework. It sometimes seems that schools and departments have forgotten there is an important family life to live. This film shows us the true dynamics of what matters in a child's life as they grow up.

It was very striking in Boyhood the image of a carefree child that is crushed into serious reality around 15. I see and hear stories everyday of happy go luck children that suddenly have the weight of the world on them. I have seen this in cases as young as 7. Students with dyslexia seem to hit that world of responsibility younger than most. At very young ages we are not "keeping up".  I wish childhood went on for longer. Maybe while schools and the powers that be argue about how important homework is for life they could take a step back and look at how long we have to be responsible and grown up in contrast to how short a time we have as carefree children?

In the meantime I'm just the person who listens to all their stories, translates their fears and somehow finds an easier path through them for everyone.

This is a must see film for parents - see what really matters to the adults you turn out. Boyhood

Dr Naoise O’Reilly Methods Development and Purple Success:™

1 (1)In February 2009 I started a school, The Homework Club® as what I saw as my lab space in order to develop new teaching methods and understanding of learning. Since then through a number of projects these are the methods and theories that I have developed:

Purple Learning Project®: Understanding of setting up educational environments for all and working simultaneously with all learning styles, difficulties and conditions in the same room.

Purple Profiling™: Unique profiling methods to understand all learners and work effectively with them in the shortest time possible. Now expanded to all business employees and business situations. Focus is on success for each person.

Purple Development™: New development theory to understand patterns in education and to change the Educational Blueprint™. From this a new approach to education and a new focus on expression was developed, Expression Developist™.

The Periodic Table of the Development of Results™, Purple Success™: New unique method and theory to understand the individual elements to get successful results with all ages and individuals in the shortest time possible. Applied at all levels in education and all sized companies, situations and individuals globally.

Purple Processing Scales™: Understanding the individual learning styles and how they work in different situations. Which has lead on to a theory, The Pressure Cooker Effect™.

Purple Success Timescale™: Theory of the development moments in individuals from Child to Adult and their significance in dealing with situations. How Successful You Feel for Life™.

Diffuse Focus™: A new theory on the reasons behind ADD and ADHD. How to develop a new learning approach to accommodate these.

Forget Phonics Reading Method™: A new approach to teaching reading specifically for individuals with dyslexic spectrum reading difficulties. Typically a student can now learn to read and write in 4 weeks.

I have also put significant work in to developing specific programs to get successful results with students with Aspergers. I have developed a number of new programs for specific school issues such as the Primary to Secondary school Transition, Expression Club™ for dyslexic learners to keep them on top over summer months, Dyslexia organisation workshop, Maths Orientation studies for Dyscalculia, Supporting students at home with Aspergers through homework and a Purple Pre-School Success™ program to start dyslexic spectrum students ahead in reading and writing before school. I have currently been putting a lot of work into developing new theories for working with students with Auditory Processing Disorders and Dysgraphia.

There is always a balance between making long term changes in education and supporting those people currently in the system!

One of the many reasons why Students attending The Homework Club become so successful is because of the awareness they have of their own Potential, Personality and Learning Style and how these effect their own educational success. Every Student at The Homework Club is set-up to work to their best abilities within the environment through an initial interview.

The Confidence Club now offers this service to everybody, especially those restricted through distance and who aren't able to attend our classes at The Homework Club.
